  • Annual value of time saved = team size × annual cost per person × share of working time saved. This values freed capacity; it does not guarantee payroll savings or cash income.
  • Value after system costs = annual value of time saved − annual system cost.
  • Simple cost recovery in months = annual system cost ÷ (annual value of time saved ÷ 12). This assumes the annual fee is paid upfront and benefits accrue evenly. If annual value does not exceed cost, the calculator asks you to review the assumptions.
  • Additional monthly capacity = current monthly volume ÷ (1 − share of time saved) − current monthly volume. This assumes equal effort per shipment and that all saved time is used to process more shipments.
